Hi, there!

Happy fall! We hope you are enjoying the cooler temperatures and changing colors. We have enjoyed having students back on campus and hosting a successful Tri-State Dairy & Ag Expo. Next week, we will be stepping off the farm and visiting World Dairy Expo. If you are there, please stop by and see us in Madison. Our booth will be located on the main concourse of the Coliseum at booth 21tt. We hope to see you there!

Wishing you a safe and plentiful harvest season,

In addition, there were several educational sessions including Iowa State University’s biosecurity trailer, Hoard's Dairyman judging and a grain bin rescue demonstration with the National Education Center for Agricultural Safety.

North Fayette Valley FFA was named the champion dairy judging team. Team members included Brock Soppe, Blake Sparrgrove and Alexis Oakland. Aden Kruse of Beckman Catholic High School was the high-scoring individual of the contest.

Additionally, the Tri-State Ag & Dairy Expo presented an annual award in memory of Dennis Rud, a former FFA instructor and longtime employee of Nelson Dairy Consultants. Board Member Feature

Nolan Lyness

My name is Nolan Lyness and I am the District 3 Field Manager for Iowa Corn. I grew up and live in Manchester, Iowa. My passion for agriculture has stemmed from showing livestock in 4-H and FFA. I still remain very involved within the show pig industry and enjoy helping young people learn and develop their livestock projects. In addition, we have started our own herd of show goats. In my free time I enjoy spending time at the lake, attending livestock shows, and enjoying time with my friends and family.

We are excited to welcome Nolan to our board!
